Teaching philosophy
Derivations before memorization.
I emphasize definitions, notation, assumptions and the chain of reasoning behind each formula. The goal is to make students comfortable with the method, not only with the final answer.
About
My name is Batuhan Koyuncu. I am a physics student at Universität Leipzig and an experienced online tutor for physics, mathematics, engineering, data analysis, statistics, academic projects and exam preparation.
Teaching philosophy
I emphasize definitions, notation, assumptions and the chain of reasoning behind each formula. The goal is to make students comfortable with the method, not only with the final answer.
Experience
Support for mathematical methods of physics, experimental and theoretical physics, higher mathematics, electrical engineering, data analysis and regression models.
Experience organizing and delivering online university-level preparation in mechanics, thermodynamics and electrodynamics for large student groups.
Mathematics and physics support for school students from foundational levels to German Abitur preparation, in German and English.
Creation of Bachelor-level physics and mathematics materials using digital whiteboards, structured explanations and interactive learning units.
Support for students in Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and other international contexts with flexible language and curriculum adaptation.
Help with LaTeX, Beamer, Python/Jupyter notebooks, plots, reports, data analysis, statistics and reproducible academic workflows.
Teaching style
Problems are broken into definitions, assumptions, equations, intermediate steps and final interpretation.
Diagrams, sketches and plots are used when they make an abstract construction easier to understand.
Python simulations, notebooks and plots connect theory with quantitative behaviour and model limitations.
Areas
Send the course title, topic, deadline and a sample problem or file. I can then suggest the most suitable lesson format.
